PERTERRA is produced from the mineral perlite which is mined in Milos. Perlite is an inorganic aluminosilicate mineral of volcanic origin with 3-4% crystalline water. Without any chemical admixture, perlite is heated to 1000°C, a temperature which causes it to swell. The expanded product is further processed to perfect its properties and then packaged. This is how Perterra is produced and available in 1-5mm diameter granules for use in agricultural applications.
Perterra is used in agriculture for:
Soil improvement
Seedling production
Multiplication of grafts
As a component of mixtures for growing ornamental plants in the greenhous
As a component of potting soil for the cultivation of indoor and outdoor plants
Preparation of mixtures for gardens and flowerbeds
Installation of turf
Preservation and rooting of bulbs
Packaging, storage and dispatch of rooted grafts
Weight reduction and drainage of plant containers on terraces and roof gardens, in indoor and outdoor plant cultivation, in pots and containers, in nurseries, in gardens.
Available in sacks of 100lt
We achieve better aeration of the root system and optimal moisture management, resulting in more robust and healthy plants.
